DeClutter – Money is Not the Only Cost of Clutter

Many of us place a dollar value on an item and that is our reason for keeping it.  We may have paid $10.00, $25.00, $100.00 or $1,000.  The price of an item isn’t the only factor to be considered.  Other factors include storing the item, time to take care of the item, the impact of our emotions on others around us, the impact on our values.  Clutter can be a mental distraction.  Have you stopped inviting friends over – then clutter has a social cost.  It can also tie us to the past.  Most of us want so much more out of life; clutter limits us, keeps routines established and limits our ability to live life to the fullest.
